Who we are
Ilmora is an education technology solution provided by Jamil Global. The data controller for marketing and pre-contract enquiries is Jamil Global. When your school or organisation contracts for a deployment, the contract and data processing arrangements (including any school-specific data controller / processor roles) are set out in your agreement and applicable documentation.
Information we may process
Depending on how you use Ilmora, we may process categories such as:
- Account and profile data — for example name, email, role (such as student, teacher, or administrator), and identifiers used to sign in and operate the platform.
- Educational and operational content — materials you upload, class or subject structures, assessments, messages in learning features, and similar content needed to provide the service.
- Technical and usage data — for example device type, browser, approximate location derived from IP, logs, and diagnostics used to secure and improve the service.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, host, and maintain the Ilmora platform;
- Authenticate users and enforce access controls;
- Operate AI-assisted features where enabled, in line with your configuration and agreement;
- Provide support, security monitoring, and incident response;
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Legal bases (where applicable)
Where EU/UK GDPR applies, we rely on appropriate bases such as contract performance, legitimate interests (for example security and service improvement, balanced against your rights), and legal obligation. Where consent is required for specific processing, we will obtain it as described at the point of collection.
Sharing and subprocessors
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with subprocessors that help us run the platform (for example cloud hosting, email delivery, or analytics as configured), only as needed to provide the service and subject to appropriate safeguards. Your school may appoint or approve certain integrations; those are governed by the school's own arrangements with third parties.
Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, as required by contract or law, and according to retention settings agreed with your organisation. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it in line with our technical and organisational procedures.
Security
We implement technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. A high-level overview is available on our Security page.
International transfers
If data is processed in countries outside your region, we use appropriate transfer mechanisms (such as standard contractual clauses) where required by law.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Children
Where Ilmora is used in schools, the school is typically responsible for obtaining any necessary parental consent and for educational records. If you believe a child's information has been collected inappropriately, contact the school or ilmora@jamilglobal.com.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and adjust the "Last updated" date. For material changes affecting an active deployment, we will also use reasonable notice mechanisms as agreed with your organisation.
